The Company

Szyjkowski-Auto Sp. z o.o. (Szyjkowski-Auto Co. Ltd.) was founded in November 1994, as a continuation of the car trading business run earlier by Andrzej Szyjkowski, and became legal successor to the franchise contract signed with General Motors Poland.

This contract, which referred to the sale and service of Opel cars, and which has been binding ever since, established the conditions of Szykowski-Auto's core business activity.

Facilities

In November 1999 Szyjkowski-Auto moved to its own, newly-built premises in Bierzarina Street in Gorzow, placed on a 5,400 sq.m. lot. Its location, less than 100 kms from Berlin, is of crucial strategic importance given the recent accession of Poland to the European Union as on May 1st, 2004.

Szyjkowski Auto owns also an adjacent 5,000 sq.m. building lot to enable further development of the business into the sales of other car brands, in accordance with the New Block Exception (BER) EEC directive.

In the direct vicinity of Szyjkowski-Auto's premises there is a Shell filling station and a McDonald's restaurant.

Opportunities

Under an agreement signed with General Motors Poland on October 20th, 2004, the company has started to sell and service new Chevrolet cars, manufactured in Corea by GM Daewoo.

We are the best-equipped car dealership located within 100 kms from Berlin, which is of significant importance since Poland joined the EU on May 1st, 2004. On that very day the company has commenced the sales of motor vehicles to customers of other EU countries and the servicing of cars for customers from Berlin and the surrounding districts.

In connection with Poland's recent accession to the EU and the BER regulations, the company's board is eager to invite an external investor, to enable it to continue its development and to benefit by its growth abilities.

The car dealership described above provides an excellent basis to achieve a prevailing market position on the local and regional car market.
